This product is made using Tritik techniques. This tritik technique is a technique for making motifs on cloth using threads to form their motives. All fabrics produced by UMKM Batik Marenggo Natural Dyes Batik uses natural dyes where materials for coloring batik use raw materials derived from nature, such as marenggo leaves which are plants that grow widely in Sleman.

Kawung Batik is a batik motif in the form of a kawung fruit-like sphere (a type of coconut or sometimes also considered a sugar palm or kolang-kaling) which is neatly arranged geometrically. Sometimes, this motif is also interpreted as an image of a lotus flower with four broken flower crowns.
